FYI - “Bingo”, also known as “Bingo Was His Name-O” and “There Was a Farmer Had a Dog”, is a children's song that involves spelling B - I - N - G - O in each verse with handclaps. The early version of BINGO is from The Ingoldsby Legends, a collection of myths, legends, ghost stories and poetry supposedly written by Thomas Ingoldsby of Tappington Manor, actually a pen-name of Richard Harris Barham.

The Biscuit Eater was twice an adaptation of a book by James Street about a German wirehaired pointer named ‘Moreover’ and the two boys who train him to hunt. The dog is called a “biscuit eater” because he naturally only wants to look for his own food, which is not a quality desired in a hunting dog. Street also wrote Goodbye, My Lady, another dog story.

FYI - In the U.S. a biscuit refers to a small leavened soft bread; in different parts of the world a biscuit refers to a harder cookie or cracker, something twice baked. A dog biscuit is a snack for your pup.
