Tennis player Billie Jean King, who won 12 Grand Slam singles titles, 16 Grand Slam women's doubles titles, and 11 Grand Slam mixed doubles titles is also best remembered for winning the 1973 “Battle of the Sexes” in 1973, against Bobby Riggs, a former Wimbledon men's champion.

Lily Kronberger was a pioneer figure skater, being the first skater to use music during her free program at the suggestion of Zoltán Kodály.

Kronberger won a bronze medal at the first World Championships to include ladies events in 1906, another bronze in 1907, and four gold medals between 1908 and 1911.
