Italian opera composer Giacomo Puccini is best remembered for his operas La bohème, Tosca, Madama Butterfly and Turandot, which are among the most frequently performed in the standard repertoire.

FYI - Puccini, who was a smoker - note how many of his portraits show him smoking - died of complication of treatment for throat cancer.
